Tryouts 2013
BSA Celtic announces that tryouts for Fall 2013 to Spring 2014 seasonal year will be held from May 28, 29, and May 30, 2013. Rain date and supplemental tryouts may be held Monday June 3, 2013 as well. In order to make a Celtic team, a player must attend at least one tryout date. It is strongly suggested that players attend as many nights as they can to improve the quality of their evaluation and chances of making a higher level team. Remember, we field multiple teams at each age group and our second age group teams typically compete at high levels including Buckeye Premier League.

Note that we are using a new registration system this year through Blue Sombrero. If you already have a BSA Celtic Blue Sombrero account, you can use that existing account to register. If you do not have an existing account, you will need to open a new account by creating a New Customer Primary Contact account where you plug in general information about yourself. You can then add participants (players) and you can keep all of your kids on your same account. Once the player(s) are added, you should see that there is a tryout program available for them to register for. Go through the steps, and at the end, it looks like an Amazon type account with a “shopping cart” and “check out.” There is obviously no fee but go through the checkout process and the registration should be complete. During this process, you should get two e-mail notifications – one for setting up your Primary Account (if new account) and another saying your tryout registration is complete. If your tryout registration is complete, you are officially registered for 2013 tryouts!

Tryout Location: Tryouts will take place at the John Ankeney Soccer Complex. This is our fully irrigated 65 acre soccer complex which has won signficant recognition as one of the finest soccer complexes in the United States and in 2010 hosted the USYSA Midwest Regionals drawing teams from as far away as North Dakota.
Tryout Information: Please arrive one-half hour prior to the start time to check-in and receive your tryout number. Wear shorts, a white t-shirt, shin guards, socks, and outdoor soccer cleats. Do not wear any gear that identifies any soccer club. Bring a properly inflated, appropriate size soccer ball and plenty of water.
